The numerical portion of our name, 814, represents the area code for Erie, Pennsylvania. The term "slaps" has a dual meaning. In the late 80s, "slapping" stickers in public places became a popular form of representation when musicians and artists began "slapping" their custom stickers allover the world. The stickers eventually became known as "slaps".  IYK, "slaps" also is a term used to describe something that is awesome.
